Cedar Creek Lake
Fishing Report
03/13/2010

I hope everyone wintered over well, and is ready for another great year of fishing on Cedar Creek Lake! The lake is another year older, and the fish are another year larger! Lets get on to the first fishing report of the year. The warmest water temp. recently reported is in the low 50´s. The lake is clear. We have been hearing of some bass being caught on jerkbaits and jigs back in the coves and up in the creeks, but not in great numbers yet. I am hearing mixed reports on crappie. Most people are only catching a few, but I have heard of one or two people slaying them. Minnows seem to be working the best. I have not heard anything good on blugill, red ear, and catfish so far this year. Get ready though, fish on Cedar Creek Lake will get active sooner than some of the surrounding lakes because of Cedar Creek's shallower depth. Shallow lakes always warm up quicker than deeper lakes causing fish to feed sooner. March is always a great month to fish on Cedar Creek, so stay tuned, great fishing is just around the corner!
